Coach Colten Cox is thrilled to be offering hockey lessons in Pekin as he developed through the Pekin Amateur Hockey Association (PAHA) and Pekin Dragons Hockey Club programs.
During his youth and high school career, Colten established himself as a skilled forward and offensive leader, earning the following:
- Central Illinois High School Hockey Player of the Year in 2023
- Pekin High School Leader in goals for the Central Division of the Lincoln Land Prep League from 2016 to present
- Reached the milestone of 50 career high school goals during the 2022-23 season
- Won back to back state championships with the Pekin Dragons Hockey Club
After high school Colten Cox went on to play junior hockey with the Peoria Mustangs of the NA3HL, continuing his development at a higher level of competition.
Now, things have come full circle for Coach Colten as he is a coach for PAHA and coaching in the very same rink that he played in as a kid. Coach Colten has a vast knowledge of the game of hockey and a unique ability to transfer that knowledge to youth players. He specializes in skating and stick work along with a thorough understanding of the systems of hockey.
